Our client is seeking a QAQC Director specialising in large-scale hospitality and mixed-use projects.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Director to join a leading main contracting company in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across all large-scale building projects, ensuring compliance with international standards, contractual requirements, and company policies. This role will drive a culture of quality excellence across the business and ensure the successful delivery of projects to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System in alignment with ISO and project-specific requirements.
- Lead the QA/QC team across all ongoing and upcoming building projects.
- Establish and enforce quality standards, procedures, and inspection/testing regimes.
- Review and approve QA/QC plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and other quality documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality reviews to ensure compliance.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure all materials and workmanship meet project specifications and contractual requirements.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to QA/QC staff to enhance technical skills and performance.
- Lead investigations into non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain comprehensive quality records and prepare QA/QC reports for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in QA/QC roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record with a main contractor delivering large-scale building projects in the Middle East.
- In-depth knowledge of international quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001).
- Strong understanding of project specifications, drawings, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive quality culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
