NOW HIRING AN INTERIOR DESIGN DIRECTOR
Our client is a Real Estate Developer specialising in high-end residential projects.
The Role
The Interior Design Director will oversee the creative direction and delivery of interior design projects across the business. This role involves managing the full design process from concept through to completion, working closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure each project reflects the brand’s identity and meets the highest design standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of interior design projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
- Oversee the development of design concepts, layouts, and presentations, ensuring alignment with brand standards and project goals.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, maintaining clear communication across all project phases.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including development, design, and commercial, to meet key milestones and ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource planning to maintain cost control and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor the design team, allocating tasks and ensuring a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Manage vendor and contractor selection to support design delivery and maintain quality standards.
- Ensure all design work complies with local regulations, codes, and internal design standards.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to design proposals and client presentations.
- Stay informed on global design trends and innovations to bring fresh thinking to ongoing and future projects.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in interior design, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- 3+ years of UAE real estate experience
- Proven experience delivering high-end commercial or residential projects
- Strong knowledge of design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Suite
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines
- A hands-on approach with the ability to oversee both creative and technical aspects of design
- Familiarity with regional codes, regulations, and authority approval processes is a plus
