NOW HIRING A HEAD OF PROCUREMENT
Our client is a leading infrastructure and construction company specialised in large-scale works and road development projects in Saudi Arabia.
The Role
The Head of Procurement oversees strategic sourcing, supplier management, project procurement delivery, SAP system governance, inventory control, and warehouse integration across all project and production sites. This role ensures procurement excellence, cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and compliance across CAPEX and OPEX domains, with centralised commercial authority over all project procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budget targets
- Lead centralised procurement operations across project sites, production units, and the head office
- Oversee procurement planning, forecasting, and long-lead item tracking to avoid delays
- Manage cross-functional coordination with planning, cost, technical, and site teams for material readiness
- Head tendering activities, vendor negotiations, and contract finalisation for major packages
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, SAP processes, and corporate governance frameworks
- Lead and structure a multi-disciplinary procurement team, including buyers, engineers, and site purchasers
- Monitor warehouse operations, material movement, and inventory accuracy in line with procurement KPIs
- Drive digital integration and process transparency through SAP and reporting tools
- Ensure risk management, audit readiness, and reporting on high-risk suppliers and procurement exposures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certification in Procurement (CIPS, CPSM, PMP) is preferred.
- 12+ years of procurement experience, including senior leadership in the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Experience in the Saudi infrastructure market, construction sourcing strategies, and international supplier negotiations.
- Proven track record in high-volume project procurement with SAP system implementation or oversight.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Arabic speaker (preferred)
